5. Senior Instructor (Saudi Arabia)

SAIC is seeking personnel to support a contract with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ministry of Interior to train law enforcement and paramilitary personnel within their Special Emergency Force (SEF). All positions are in Mekkah, Saudi Arabia (duty station is outside of the Holy City). Travel to other training centers in country may be required to provide instruction, instructor training and to ensure training standards are maintained. Senior Instructors are required for the following six disciplines: Firearms, firearms/Sniper, Crowd Control, Roping and Rappelling, Defensive Tactics and Arrest Techniques, and Gas and Chemical Agents.

Duties will include, at a minimum:
1. Responsible for relevant course content and quality for all firearms related instruction.
2. Regarded as the lead instructor in this field.
3. Travel to other training centers to provide instructor training and ensure standards are maintained.
4 Provide training to include safety precautions to protect personnel and equipment.

Position Description: Responsible for relevant course content and quality of instruction and instructors. Regarded as a lead instructor in this field, the instructor is responsible for all related course content. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in contributing to the development, implementation and facilitation of training programs focusing in the overall mission and functions of Police Activities and Investigative Services with specific focus on the management, behavioral and technical training components in these areas. Instructor candidates must possess competencies in facilitation and training skills, communication skills, technical skill, presentation skills, and learning management skills - by delivering specific modules of instruction and receiving a satisfactory evaluation.

Instructors will train all levels of personnel to include officers, enlisted personnel and civilian employees. Instructors will coordinate class curriculum, conduct training classes and develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. In addition, instructors will identify developmental needs/gaps within their classroom population and prepare students/ trainers for positions of increasing responsibility. Instructors will assist in developing and delivering simulation based training to include tactical scenarios and real-life exercises.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience (KSE's):

Education:
A Bachelor's Degree in criminal justice, public justice, international relations, or other related degree with 8-10 years overall experience in the related skills, in law enforcement or military. Alternatively, in lieu of the degree, 16-18 years of experience may be substituted.

Additional KSE's:
1. A national/international reputation in the field with experience in national security organizations
2. Previous experience in Southwest Asia (SWA) and or military/ counter intelligence training
3. Possession of Arabic language skills is preferred
4. Demonstrated ability to understand and work in Arab Culture
5. Willingness to relocate to Saudi Arabia
6. Excellent oral and written communications skills
7. Experience in developing curriculum and course materials for training programs
8. Demonstrated ability to exercise cultural sensitivity
9. Experience with training in an international multi-cultural environment

Position Duration: 1 year minimum

Standard hours are 40 hrs per week

Use experience as a graduate of a Service or Joint Electronic Warfare Course to develop plans, execute, assess, adjust, evaluate, and report with minimal supervision. Have a solid understanding of the military decision making process, and possess the ability to articulate thoughts and brief senior leaders. Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with customers and clearly present technical approaches and findings. Have the ability to write/prepare operational orders, plans, mission support requests, field reports, etc; must be computer literate and be able to use standard Microsoft Office applications. Be willing to deploy to combat areas or in support of contingency or training operations for up to 30 days consecutively, but no more than 120 days annually. Perform duties primarily at Headquarters, U.S. Central Command, Mac Dill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida.

Required Qualifications: Minimum Eight (8) years of experience in increasingly responsible positions in one or more military, academic or defense industry functional area. Willing to submit to a DoD polygraph test. Typically requires bachelor's degree (in a technical field or business administration) or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related (project support or management) experience. TS/SCI minimum with ability to obtain CI Poly.

Desired Qualifications: Recent experience working OEF / OIF / GWOT operations. Experience working with one or more of the following: Joint / Coalition / SOF integration and de-confliction issues; Network Warfare Operations; Counterinsurgency; Irregular Warfare; Special Access Programs; Special Technical Operations; counter-IED; counter-terrorism.
